How do you like your eggs?

Are you influenced by Delia’s How to Cook and will buy only porcelain-white eggs to grace your kitchen? Do you believe brown is best and the sign of a free-range chook?     Greetings also from the Highlands.

    Blimey I used to sell those mugs years ago.

    An egg is only an egg if it is free range, and like people, it’s whats on the inside that counts.

    Hi Kats, welcome to The Chookery. The mug was an eighteenth birthday present and is as old as my pension fund. It’s my work mug and, when I retire, it retires.

    Greetings from Downunder. Yes, eating a brown egg is always more satisfying – knowing that the layer wasn’t cooped up in an egg factory. Our last flock of chooks was knocked off by a neighbour’s dog on the one night we neglected to lock them up. Hoping to restock once we build a new, improved run.
