Daisy flew back to Somerset on Monday from Glasgow International Airport using the cheap orange planes. The Queen of the Chooks took her into Glasgow for the afternoon and I met up with them after some business nearby for a mooch around some of the fabulous girly clothes shops. Went into an excellent little bar off Buchanan Street (The Lab) for a meal with good food and great service. One to remember. Off to the airport in good time for check-in to open and then to get some refreshment before she had to go through to the departure lounge for her 2055 flight. Great disappointment on getting to the departure lounge to find the flight delayed to 2300. We weren’t going to leave her on her own for several hours, so we got some papers and settled down to keep her company for the next two, which turned into three-and-a-half before the plane finally was en route for an 0035 departure. The drive back wasn’t much fun either in the rain and with the main road closed overnight for repairs, a long, slow drive down Loch Awe on the single-track road to get home.
