The weather today has finally shown some signs of remembering what summer can be like; blue skies, warm sun and light winds. Not only that, but looking excellent for the weekend for this part of the Highlands as well. So, the plan is to see Her Maj off to her summer camp tomorrow and then get the walking boots on. Saturday will see them marching up and down the lawn doing some belated mowing, but Sunday will see them up the hills. Plan is to go over to Bridge of Orchy and walk a couple of the mountains that lie on the Rannoch Wall, the ridge that separated the ancient kingdoms of Dalriada and Pict. Can’t wait, really, and will get the pictorial evidence up on the blog as soon as I can.
Had a chance to drive the new royal carriage this afternoon, which wasn’t too bad at all. Not quite as much poke as my Golf TDI, but quite respectable. Road-holding very decent and very competent on the bends. Well done, Skoda.
